Rarity – grinding of camshafts. Motoren Küpers has specialised in the repair of camshafts for nearly 20 years. Since there are only a few companies that are qualified to carry out this procedure, Motoren Küpers has customers from all over the world. We would like to introduce our company to you as a complete customer-oriented partner.
Motoren Küpers has been a successful corporation since its foundation in 1995. From the beginning, we carried out general engine reconditioning tasks such as drilling and honing, spindling of main and camshaft bearing ways and the grinding of crankshafts ourselves.
With the acquisition of a special grinding machine in 1997, our field of activities grew to include the reconditioning of camshafts, initially up to a length of 2.50 m.
The steadily rising demand for camshaft repairs in 2000 necessitated that we move to a larger location, purchase additional grinding machines and recruit additional specialised personnel for the camshaft area. Since then, five specialised personnel have specialised in the repair and manufacturing of camshafts.
Modern machinery with a treatment length of 3.25 m makes the repair of any engine with a damaged camshaft possible. In such a case, we develop and implement an individual repair concept in close consultation with the customer.
Especially in the range of locomotive, ship and industrial engines, we aim to keep any downtimes to a minimum.
Here, too, the focus is on the repair of the component in question. Should the repair of the damaged camshaft in the case of a capital damage be too cost- and labour-intensive, then the use of a reconditioned camshaft can be recommended.
We use the most modern tool machines to manufacture individual camshafts and complete camshafts in small series or as individual pieces at short notice.
Camshafts that are in popular demand are available from stock – either pre-manufactured as blanks or ground ready for installation.
